What does PRP involve?

A small amount of the client’s blood is drawn from their arm and placed in a centrifuge, separating the plasma from the red blood cells. Once the plasma is prepared, it can be injected directly into specific areas of the skin or can be used in combination with other therapies.

Combining PHP with other procedures

Combined with micro-needling to produce a synergistic approach to collagen induction therapy. PRP can also be used with a fractional laser as a combination therapy for skin rejuvenation. Treatment with PRP after ablative CO2 fractional resurfacing enhances recovery of laser-damaged skin and improves the clinical appearance of acne scarring.

Combining platelet-rich plasma and Hyaluronic Acid (HA) therapies can enhance the volumising and rejuvenation properties as HA therapy acts as a scaffold increasing collagen production and adipocyte generation.

Using PRP with facial fillers can allow a practitioner a customised approach to injectable treatment. As PRP promotes tissue regeneration and healing with the release of large amounts of growth factors, it can leave clients looking more youthful than using fillers alone.

In clinic benefits

Offering Platelet Rich Plasma treatments in your practice is simple and cost-effective while being on the forefront of the aesthetics sector’s evolution to growth factor therapies.

Platelet-rich plasma is the perfect complementing therapy for modern aesthetic practice. Clients are looking for advanced treatments for fighting the visual signs of ageing with many looking for alternatives to anti-wrinkle injections. While it still complements patients that are using cosmetic injectables.

Another benefit of PRP is for clients that are against the use of laboratory-created products. As PRP is an autologous treatment, it can be viewed as a natural approach and an alternative to Toxin or dermal fillers.

Course theory content is delivered through our VLE while revision during class time ensures learners understand all components of the course. Practical classes are delivered with live demonstrations while learners also deliver PRP treatment on pre-screened models facilitating the highest level of training with a hands-on approach.
