Careers and education options at October’s Jobs Expo Dublin

Jobs Expo Dublin is to return this October showcasing up to 50 leading employers as well as educators and professional development experts. The event takes place on Saturday 21st October at Croke Park.

Jobs Expo Dublin will feature some of the Ireland’s most highly regarded companies, including both national and multinational employers. The event will also offer a full day of seminars, talks and workshops for jobseekers as well as free career advice from qualified career counsellors.

Jobs Expo Ireland runs the jobs and careers events twice-yearly in Dublin, Cork and Galway.

Dedicated career zones

Jobs Expo Dublin will feature a number of specialised areas so that attendees can meet the kinds of companies that most interest them, including:

  • The Jobs Lab – medtech and STEM jobs
  • The Digital City – opportunities for computer and IT specialists
  • The Mall – jobs in sales, retail and related areas
  • Go Global – career opportunities overseas
  • The Campus – education, training and upskilling opportunities
  • The Site – opportunities in construction, engineering and related trades

 

Free career advice and seminars

Jobs Expo Dublin will also include free career advice as well as a series of industry seminars. The Career Clinic offers the chance for attendees to meet a team of professional careers coaches free of charge.  The team can help candidates with crucial issues such as interview skills and CV presentation as well as assist anyone looking to change career direction.

In addition, Jobs Expo Dublin’s Agenda Stage will offer free, topical talks by industry insiders. These will include job-seeking skills, such as using social media to land your dream job, interview techniques and CV writing workshops. Furthermore, speakers will discuss topics such as entrepreneurship, working internationally and how professional women can break the ‘glass ceiling’ and move into senior roles.
