The M.Sc. in Renewable Energy Systems is designed to produce graduates with a good theoretical and practical understanding of renewable energy technologies. The programme critically investigates the energy output from wind, solar, ocean and biomass technologies from a technical and economic viewpoint. The primary aim of the M.Sc. in Renewable Energy Systems is to produce effective engineers and technical workers for a professional career in energy and, in particular, renewable energy.
The programme spans a minimum of three semesters, i.e. beginning in September of the first year and ending in following September (one calendar year).

| Entry Requirements | A second class honours degree (2.2) in an engineering or science discipline is the basic requirement. Candidates with alternative qualifications are also encouraged to apply. The closing date for applications is usually June 20th each year; however, applications may still be considered after this date. Depending on the number of applications, candidates may be short-listed, i.e. a qualified applicant is not automatically guaranteed a place. |
