Course Description

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Our postgraduate research students undertake a research project of their choice, aligned to specialisms within the SSCI (see brochure attached), and work under the guidance of our highly experienced staff in a dynamic, interdisciplinary and engaged environment. Research undertaken within the SSCI addresses the most pressing challenges facing business, industry and society; the innovative solutions developed reinforce the applied nature of our research whilst ensuring the highest academic standard.

Postgraduate research qualifications such as a PhD can be undertaken on a Full Time (FT) or Part Time (PT) basis and can align to any of the specialisms within the School.

If you are currently in employment and are considering undertaking a postgraduate programme, perhaps a part time research degree is a better option for you. Scope exists to undertake a postgraduate research qualification which addresses an issue that may ultimately benefit your company.
