There are many non-certified awards that do not fall on the National Framework of Qualifications. Some course providers might give hobbyist or introductory courses and issue a certificate of attendance at the end. Some training programmes might be technical or practical in nature or might have accreditation issued by an Awarding Body that’s not recognised by the NFQ. Some courses might issue non-NFQ certificates for those who wish to broaden their knowledge or skills in a particular area.
