You will need to meet one of the following academic qualification requirements: Trade & Technical Qualifications QQI Trade Certificate (Electrical) City & Guilds Electrical Installation / Wiring BTEC Electrical / Electronic Engineering (UK Level 3) UK Level 3 qualifications in Electrical / Electronic Engineering Leaving Certificate with 64 UCAS points Equivalent qualification via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Technical Requirements As the course is delivered remotely, students require a compatible device to run engineering software. Minimum requirements: Operating System: Windows 11 (required for engineering software compatibility) Processor: i5 or higher RAM: 8GB or more Hard Drive: 250GB SSD or more English Language If English was not the medium of instruction at your primary or secondary school, you will need evidence of one of the following: IELTS: overall score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 in each component (reading, writing, listening, speaking) An approved Secure English Language Test (SELT) with equivalent component scores If you don't hold one of the formal qualifications above but have relevant professional experience, you may be eligible to apply via RPL.
