This micro-credential is relevant to any healthcare professionals who wish to develop competency and expand their knowledge in the application of simulation. This cohort includes doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other allied healthcare professionals who require expansion of their practice in skill and problem-based education.
Simulation in healthcare can promote patient safety by teaching the range of clinical as well as the non-behavioural skills required in the healthcare setting.
During this micro-credential you will learn about strategies to design a simulation session and you will design a simulation scenario based on your own healthcare setting. This scenario will be implemented in simulation software and the developed scenario will run in a live simulation session that will be peer reviewed. You will also explore advancements in simulation, and the challenges faced during simulation-based learning.
On successful completion of this micro-credential, learners will be able to:
