The UCC Graduate School in the College of Medicine and Health is inviting applications for up to 10 awards of Doctoral Travel Bursaries for students currently registered for a doctoral degree (PhD/ MD/ Doctorate) in the College of Medicine and Health.

About UCC Doctoral Travel Bursaries

The purpose of these awards is twofold:

  • To facilitate students who wish to present their work at an international conference.
  • To facilitate the training of students who wish to acquire skills that are essential for their academic development, but which they cannot otherwise receive in UCC.

Applicants can apply for up to €1,000 in financial support that may be used towards the cost of travel, accommodation and registration fees for international conferences or relevant training courses that are due to take place between 1st October 2019 and 30th September 2020.

The closing date for receipt of completed application forms is Friday, 20th September 2019.

University College Cork runs courses, part-time courses and education programmes to Cork and the Greater Munster area. The Adult Continuing Education Department’s purpose is to provide UCC Courses and opportunities in lifelong learning for all adults irrespective of age and previous educational achievements.

Adult Continuing Education (ACE), University College Cork has been offering courses and education programmes to Cork and the greater Munster area since 1946 and is proud to celebrate 65 years of educational services to the community. The first Diploma in Social and Economic Science course was formally opened at a public meeting in University College, Cork on the 14th October, 1946 and 24 students were awarded the diploma in June 1948.
