The popular Trinity College Dublin Research in Action seminar series returns in January 2026 with the next session titled “Research in Translation: Building Collaborative Pathways Between Policy and Practice”. The seminar will be delivered by Professor Mary McCarron, Director of the Trinity Centre for Ageing and Intellectual Disability.
Professor McCarron will discuss how research from The Intellectual Disability Supplement to the Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (IDS-TILDA) continues to inform both policy and practice. Attendees can expect insights into how evidence from longitudinal research can be translated into meaningful interventions and collaborative approaches in healthcare and social policy.
The seminar will take place online on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00pm.
This session is part of the ongoing #ResearchinAction series, which showcases how current research contributes to real-world impact and supports collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and practitioners.
