Applications are invited for a 10-month Experienced Research Assistant Level 2 – Cancer Research (10 Month Contract) in the Human Health Institute, Maynooth University, Ireland. The successful applicant will be joining a research group led by Dr Marion Butler. This position has been funded by Breakthrough Cancer Research and is focused on Ovarian Cancer.

Research Assistant Level 2 – Cancer Research

The ideal candidate will have:

  • The candidate must have a strong research background in the Cancer field.
  • The candidate must have graduated with a first or high 2.1 BSc Hons degree with immunology and/or tumour biology modules taken as part of their degree programme.
  • The candidate must have strong technical ability with experience in molecular biology techniques and cellular assays required for cancer work.
  • Previous experience in the laboratory (minimum 1 year full-time in Cancer Research) is essential for this experienced research assistant position.
  • The person must be well organised in both lab work plans and data management.
  • The person must help manage the efficient running of the lab.
