The Department of Economics at Maynooth University has announced that it will host the Irish Postgraduate and Early Career Economics (IPECE) Workshop 2026 on Thursday, January 29th, and Friday, January 30th, 2026. The two-day event will take place in the Rhetoric House building on campus and will bring together emerging economists from across Ireland to share their latest research and ideas in a collaborative setting.
The IPECE Workshop is a well-established annual event designed to support PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and early career economists. It provides an invaluable opportunity to present research findings, receive constructive feedback, and engage in stimulating discussions with peers and academic mentors in a supportive environment.
This year’s workshop invites submissions of extended abstracts or full research papers from scholars working on the island of Ireland. Submissions should include JEL codes and a short CV, and be sent in PDF format to economicsdept@mu.ie with the subject line Submission IPECE 2026.
