The Postgraduate Research (PGR) Student Survey 2025 is currently underway across Irish higher education institutions, offering Master's by Research and PhD students a valuable platform to share their experiences and insights. This biennial survey, managed collaboratively by the Higher Education Authority (HEA), Irish Universities Association (IUA), Technological Higher Education Association (THEA), and the Union of Students in Ireland (USI), aims to enhance the quality of postgraduate research education in Ireland.
Survey Objectives
The PGR Student Survey seeks to:
Enhance Transparency: Provide a clear understanding of student engagement and experiences in higher education.
Amplify Student Voices: Offer students a direct channel to express their views on academic and social aspects of their educational journey.
Inform Institutional Policies: Aid institutions in reflecting on student feedback to implement effective policies and practices.
Identify Strengths and Areas for Improvement: Highlight successful areas of student engagement and pinpoint aspects requiring enhancement.
Participation Details
The survey is open from February 11th to March 4th, 2025. Eligible postgraduate research students will receive personalized email invitations containing a direct link to the survey. Participation is voluntary and anonymous, ensuring confidentiality of all responses.
