Post Graduate courses by The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Ireland

The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Ireland (CILT) is the recognised professional body for professionals in supply chain, logistics and transport.

The CILT draws together members of the transport and logistics industry in a common networking forum. CILT enables growth within the profession, as well as professional development, reputation and membership.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Ireland is part of a global network. There are over 30,000 members drawn from 30 countries.

Examining Body

The Institute acts as the Examining body on behalf of the Department of Transport and the Health & Safety Authority for certain transport activities.

This appointment covers the Certificate of Professional Competence in both Road & Bus Passenger Transport Operations Management (CPC) on behalf of the Department of Transport.

In addition, the Institute is the examination agent for the Health & Safety Authority for training certificates for drivers of vehicles carrying Dangerous Goods by Road and the Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser examinations.

Education

CILT also offers Certificate and Diploma courses in Transport & Logistics as well as specialised courses in specific transport areas. Their courses include the following:

  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Transport Operations Management
  • CPC in Bus Passenger Transport Operations Management
  • Certificate in Logistics
  • Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management

In addition, The Institute provides a regular programme of relevant, practical and informative seminars and training courses. These seminars give both individuals and companies the opportunity to build on their existing knowledge and skills. The Institute also provides a wide range of in-house training courses.
