The American Dream is built upon the strength of its education system, with its university system possibly the most prestigious in the whole world. Students from all four corners of the globe are drawn by famous names such as Harvard, Massachusetts’ Institute of Technology (MIT) and University of California Berkeley, which sit alongside a wide range of large and smaller universities catering for almost every educational discipline imaginable. Each state is responsible for the regulation of its institutions of higher learning, both private and public.
