Internet firm to create 33 jobs in Co Cork
More than 30 new jobs are to be created at an internet services company, it was announced today.<br /><br />Cork firm Newsweaver plans to pump €700,000 into research and development as part of a major expansion plan.<br /><br />The Bandon-based company provides email newsletter software and counts the UN, Shell, AIB and Bupa among its clients.<br /><br />Trade Minister Billy Kelleher said the 33 new "high value" jobs were a significant boost to all of West Cork.<br /><br />"Over the next 10 years services will be the key driver of Ireland's economic success and job creation, and Newsweaver is a prime example of the type of Irish internationally traded services companies that can be part of that wave," he added.<br /><br />The expansion, which will bring the number of employees to 61, is being supported by the taxpayer through Enterprise Ireland.
