Engineers' body announces joint training venture with CIMA
Engineers Ireland today announced a joint venture with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) that will offer 24,000 members of Engineers Ireland a thorough grounding in business and finance through the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting. <br /><br />The certificate, a recognised qualification, will provide Engineers Ireland members with a range of financial skills in areas of key importance to the engineering and construction sector including accounting for property, plant and equipment, start-up costs, borrowing costs and joint ventures. <br /><br />"This is an excellent opportunity for members of Engineers Ireland to improve their skillset," said John Power, Director General of Engineers Ireland<br /><br />"We are happy to be linked with CIMA Ireland as they, like Engineers Ireland, have pedigree in providing the highest educational standards which our members can only benefit from."<br /><br />Engineers Ireland is the professional members' body for all qualified engineers in Ireland, while CIMA is the world's leading and largest professional body of management accountants.
