need level 8!!

I qualified with a level 7 bachelor degree in science from HETAC . I need to get my honours level irish and a level 8 degree to even be considered for primary school teaching. would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to upgrade to level 8? were would i be accepted and hopefully a year long part time course??? is that actually possible???

Depending on what your Level 7 is, there may be an "add-on" year available so check with your local IT. It is difficult to say if it would be available on a part-time basis. With your level 8 and your C3 in higher Irish, provided you also meet the English (OC3) and Maths (OD3) requirements, off you can go to apply for the postgraduate conversion course - that is if it still exists. There is no guarantee that it will. The job opportunities also may not be great due to the fact that so many teachers are being laid off due to the cut-backs. I guess most of those would like to get back into teaching when the economy improves.
